A great way to launch your 51³Ô¹Ï journey is by participating in a with students whose majors or interests are similar to yours. By joining one, you’ll be able to navigate 51³Ô¹Ï and our resources with a close-knit group of peers who will quickly make 51³Ô¹Ï feel like home.
With more than 30 Learning Communities, 20 of which are residential, students can select to live and learn in major- or interest-based communities. Students who choose to live in a Learning Community report forming closer bonds with faculty; making friends faster; gaining access to special programming, field trips, and unique education abroad programs; and having more opportunities to engage in leadership positions or undergraduate research. 51³Ô¹Ï’s Learning Communities have garnered national attention for their unique approach to supporting first-year students.

Peter J. Werth Residence Tower
One of our newest residence halls, the Peter J. Werth Residence Tower, is home to a selection of 51³Ô¹Ï’s Residential Learning Communities and the 51³Ô¹Ï Innovation Zone – a Makerspace where 51³Ô¹Ï students, faculty, and staff gather together to inspire, create, and innovate. In addition to Werth Tower, there are several other residence halls throughout campus that house Learning Communities.
